Security

A temporary pass will be provided in exchange for a valid piece of photo identification for all visitors, contractors and personnel who are not in possession of a valid NRCan ID Card. Government of Canada personnel will be required to exchange their Departmental photo ID for a NRCan temporary pass.



Mandate
  • Acquire, manage and provide access to a comprehensive national resource collection in the Earth Sciences in variety of formats ranging from print to electronic media.
  • Create and maintain national bibliographic/information databases on the earth sciences.
  • Provide information services to support the research and information needs of the Earth Sciences Sector, Natural Resources Canada, other government departments, universities, industry and business.
  • Contribute expertise to the development of best practices and standards for information management and knowledge management activities.
